Long-term partnership between Unigrafia and PunaMusta continues. Unigrafia Ltd’s printing business was fully transferred to PunaMusta Ltd through a business acquisition on 1 September 2021.
“The complete transfer of printed products to PunaMusta is a natural continuation of the collaboration that began back in 2016,” says Jorma Ahlqvist, Development Director at Unigrafia. “In the competitive bidding process for printing services, PunaMusta offered the most comprehensive service package from the perspective of our owner-customers. The change enables more competitive pricing, faster turnaround times, and a broader range of services.”
One of the most important factors in the bidding process was environmental responsibility. Unigrafia sought a printing partner guided by principles of sustainability and eco-friendliness. Carbon-neutral printed products, emission reduction, the use of renewable energy, improved energy efficiency, and effective offsetting all played a central role in the selection process. PunaMusta meets all these criteria.
Unigrafia focuses on digital publishing, graphic design and video services
The change, which came into effect at the beginning of September, supports Unigrafia’s future direction. The work of its expert-driven service unit is increasingly focused on digital services such as virtual studio production, livestreaming, events, video, animation, graphic design, websites, and digital publications.
Doctoral dissertations have not been forgotten—Unigrafia will continue to serve doctoral candidates as before. Its publishing services unit will still provide publishing advice, ensure print-readiness, and support candidates with all matters related to printing their dissertation. Unigrafia will also continue to offer design and concept development for visual identities, infographics, data visualisation, and publication layout and design.
In addition to academic publishing, PunaMusta is the go-to partner for marketing materials such as brochures, roll-ups, posters and other printed products needed at events.
As part of the transfer, four of Unigrafia’s print services experts moved over to PunaMusta. Universities and higher education institutions can now contact PunaMusta’s customer service directly for printing matters, either by phone at 010 230 8375 or by email at asiakaspalvelu.vantaa@punamusta.com.
