Publishing Services for Aalto University
Aalto University has entered into an agreement with us for publishing support services. There are dedicated support pages for doctoral candidates, providing comprehensive instructions. Guidelines for other university publication series can be found on this page.
As a member of Aalto University, you also receive guidance on ordering print jobs and layout design. If needed, we can finalize your materials for print readiness. We also manage printing arrangements for publications not designed or finalized by us. Contact our customer service for more information!
Printing is carried out at our contracted printing house, PunaMusta, where production is tailored to meet our clients' needs. As a owner-client, you benefit from printing services based on a pre-negotiated pricing list. If required, we can assist in selecting and procuring the most suitable printing facility for more specialized printing projects.

Ordering instructions and links for Aalto University's serial publications
(excluding dissertations).
The use of Aalto University's publishing platform will end, and the ordering of all Aalto University publication series publications will be transferred to this site in early 2025.
Start your publication order by downloading the brief instructions from the link on the side (Instructions will be provided in January).
Create a title page for your publication using the Word template. All publications will be made available in a digital version, which will be delivered to the Learning Centre. If the publication will also be printed, prepare a list of pages to be printed in color. If needed, request a separate printing quote from Unigrafia.
Once the order has been processed, you will receive an order confirmation from us, including a summary of your order and a schedule plan. Within a few days, you will receive a proof of both the cover and the content. Changes can be made to the order until you approve the proof and give the final print approval. After this, no further changes can be made.

Aalto University publication series, Cover templates
The appearance of Aalto University's publication series will change at the beginning of 2025.
This site will be updated with the new cover designs and ordering instructions in January 2025.
Please note that when printed on a four-color printing press, the color shades may differ slightly from what appears on the screen.
You will receive the publication number and ISBN numbers from Unigrafia via a separate application form. Apply for them in advance and also include them on your title page according to the instructions you receive.
